Welcome back to the 2020/21 school year, Leopard Families. It has been a busy start coordinating all of the logistical issues with distance learning, preparing virtual content and curriculum, and device and materials distribution. We understand how challenging this new normal has been and that there are challenges still ahead, yet unfaced. We are learning alongside you, and overcoming hurdles with technology and new educational platforms. We will all make mistakes along the way, and quite frankly that is what learning and growing is all about! We often learn more from our mistakes and struggles than we do from our successes.
Know that we are here for you, and we are here with you. We have dedicated help at the school to troubleshoot device issues as we are able, and to service your needs in real time. If we dont have the answers, we will seek them out.
I have been truly impressed by the sticktoitiveness and endurance our teachers, students, and parents have demonstrated since we first faced aschool closures in March. All personnel here at Loma and at the district offoce have been working to improve our instructional delivery system to most effectivly reach our students and regain the momentum which was momentarily lost in the spring.
I would be misleading you if I told you there werent going to be hard days ahead; there will be. The grace and resiliance with which we choose to face such days is entirly up to each of us. We must choose hope, and we must always choose to pick ourselves up and try again. You are not alone; we are here to listen, and we are here to offer our support.
