Measure E Projects

Measure E Current Projects- Projects that have begun on our campuses and are currently in progress.

• HVAC Installation
  • HVAC Installation Phase 1- Install new classroom HVAC at Elmhurst, Montalvo, Mound and ATLAS. Anticipated completion at end of Summer 2025.
  • HVAC Installation Phase 2-Install new classroom HVAC at remaining Elementary Schools w/out AC. RFP was released to design consultants for bidding. Design consultant was chosen and together we will develop a master plan to schedule these projects. Once approved by DSA, we will schedule install with each site.

• Playgrounds
  • Playground Replacement Phase 1. Replace existing end-of-life playgrounds at
    • Montalvo- Project started during Spring Break. Currently all demo has been complete with grading and concrete work has begun. Anticipate completion by Summer 2025. 
    • Mound (scheduled to be complete April 2025),
    •  Junipero Serra- Project has started and well underway. Most of the playground equipment has been installed in the 1^st-3^rd and 4^th-5^th playground with the TK-K playground starting to install equipment. Anticipate completion in Spring of 2025.
  • Playground Replacement Phase 2-Replace existing end-of-life playgrounds at remaining Elementary Schools. RFP was released to design consultants for bidding. Design consultant was chosen and together will develop a master plan to schedule these projects. We will schedule install with each site.

• Roofing Repairs
  • Roofing Replacement Phase 1- Replace existing end-of-life roofs at Elmhurst, Montalvo, Juanamaria, and Lemon Grove. These projects are scheduled to begin construction Summer 2024.
  • All roofs will be replaced as a district wide program. We will schedule roofing projects projecting over the next 5-7 years.

• Security
  • Security Cameras are scheduled to be installed at DATA, Sunset, EP Foster and Foothill by the end of Summer 2024. 
  • All campuses will have new security cameras installed. Currently working with consultants to schedule all remaining campuses. 
  • Replace existing ornamental fencing and gates at Portola Elementary School. Project is scheduled for Summer of 2024.
  • Installation of perimeter fencing at Anacapa Middle School. RFP is under review and will be released  to design consultants for bidding in June. Chosen design consultant will develop design for DSA submittal. Once approved by DSA, we will schedule install.

• Solar/Lighting
  • Solar panels are being installed at Anacapa (scheduled to be complete at the end of April 2025), ATLAS, Balboa, Buena, Cabrillo, Citrus Glen, DATA, EP Foster, Elmhurst, Foothill, Juanamaria, Junipero Serra, Lemon Grove, Lincoln, Loma Vista, Montalvo, Mound, Pacific, Poinsettia, Portola, Sheridan Way, Sunset, Ventura High, Ventura Adult and Continuing Education, and Will Rogers.
  • LED classroom lighting upgrades will occur at Balboa, Buena, DATA, El Camino, Foothill, Loma Vista, Pacific, Ventura High, and Will Rogers.
  • LED stadium lighting upgrades will occur at Buena & Ventura High Schools
     
• Sports Facilities Upgrades
  • Ventura High School and Buena High School installation of new Track and Field surfacing. RFP released to design consultants for bidding and due in June. Chosen design consultant will develop design for DSA submittal. Once approved by DSA, we will schedule install with each site.

• Other Projects
  • Install new structural cross bracing at Ventura High School at existing shop building. Project is scheduled for completion in Summer 2024.
  • Ventura High School and Buena High School installation of new Track and Field surfacing. RFP released to design consultants for bidding and due in June. Chosen design consultant will develop design for DSA submittal. Once approved by DSA, we will schedule install with each site.

• Playground Replacements
  • Elmhurst- Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Set for end of April 2025
• Sports Facilities Upgrades
  • Ventura High School JV Softball Site Improvements. Project completed 2024.
  • Install new structural cross bracing at Ventura HS at existing shop building. Project completed 2024. 
  • Buena High School Pool Heaters. Project completed 2024
  • Buena High School Scoreboard and Stadium  Lighting Upgrades- Project completed 2025. 
  • Ventura High School Scoreboard and Stadium Lighting Upgrade- Project completed 2025.
  • Ventura High School Varsity Softball Upgrades: New dugouts, irrigation, bleachers, & fencing-Project completed 2025. 
     
• Other Projects
  • Convert Rooms 2 & 3 at ATLAS School for incoming 8th grade class. Project completed 2024.
