No School- Sept. 28 and 29

Just a reminder that students will not be in school on Mon. Sept. 28 (Non-Student Contact Day) and Tues. Sept. 29 (Teacher In-Service Day). The VUSD Call Center will also be closed but will reopen at 7:30 am Wed. morning. The District offices will remain open all week and can be reached at 805-641-5000, Mon.-Fri., 7:30 am-4:30 pm. For all grade levels, Wed. will continue to be an SEL day and on Thurs. and Fri. students will attend the same online live teaching sessions they usually do.

Solo un recordatorio que no habrá clases para los estudiantes el lunes 28 de septiembre (Día de no contacto estudiantil) ni el martes 29 de septiembre (Día de capacitación para maestros). También el Centro de llamadas de VUSD estará cerrado pero reabrirá el miércoles a las 7:30 a.m. Las oficinas del distrito permanecerán abiertas toda la semana y usted puede llamar al 805-641-5000, de lunes a viernes, de 7:30 a.m. a 4:30 p.m. Para todos los grados, el miércoles continuará siendo un Día SEL y el jueves y viernes los estudiantes participarán en sus sesiones de enseñanza en vivo por internet como lo hacen regularmente.

Updating Parent/Guardian Information In Q Parent Connection

The District is updating parent information in Q Parent Connection in advance of an upgrade to its mass notification system. 

We are encouraging all parents/guardians to do the following:

Log into Q before Friday, March 6, 2020 and do the following:

  1. Click on your student
  2. Click on My Information in the upper right-hand corner
  3. Click on the plus sign next to each contact. Please review the information for each person
  4. Ensure emails are spelled correctly.
  5. Ensure that the correct type of phone is selected (cellular vs. work vs. residence) and make sure that the box for Text Msg is clicked if you can accept text messages to that phone.
  6. If you need to change anything, click edit.
  7. If you change anything, click the submit button and it will then update the system.

If you do not have a Q pin and password, please reach out to your school’s front office for assistance. If you are having issues with a Q pin and password that had already been set up, please contact Technology Services at 805-641-5000 x1340.
