The School of Choice lottery allows families who live within the Ventura Unified School District (VUSD) boundaries the ability to apply to almost any school in the District and stay for the entire grade span rather than having to apply through an intradistrict transfer each year. In addition, some of our schools are only open to School of Choice (they do not have a boundary area and all students are selected through this lottery).  For additional information visit the Student Support Services webpage or call 805-641-5000.

We recommend that you view our recordings from VUSD’s Information Night on Thurs. Jan. 14, 2021 to find out more about the School of Choice process, all of our schools and service departments. For more information, visit our VUSD Information Night webpage.
