My name is Ms. Patricia Short and I am excited and honored to be serving as the Principal of Will Rogers Elementary School. I have been serving as an educator for the past 20 years. My focus and my dedication are to the teachers, students, staff and parents of Will Rogers Elementary.

I take my responsibilities very seriously and I sincerely care about the emotional, intellectual and physical well being of all of our children. Our goals, for all of our students include:Building a solid standards-based academic foundation consisting of mastery of the basic skills (reading, math, and language arts)
Improving our English Language Development program (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening and Language)
Increasing student and teacher use of technology
Increasing enrichment opportunities for our Gifted and Talented students
In sum, we are preparing students for success in the 21st century! Achieving these goals is a shared responsibility involving the school, the home, and the student. This responsibility involves working as a team to guide each student in reaching their fullest potential.
