What Is Accelerated Reader (AR)?
Accelerated Reader is a reading motivation program that also evaluates how well students understand and remember what they read. Students read their books as a class, or they read for pleasure and take quizzes to evaluate their comprehension skills. This year we are also trying to motivate students who love magazines and non-fiction, and have no quizzes, with alternative evaluations. Students who participate, earn points toward their individual goals and toward our school Reward Patches.
Encourage Your Child to Use Home Connect
AR Home Connect allows your Will Rogers students to take reading and vocabulary practice tests from any internet-connected computer using the same login information (username and password) they do at school.
