What is the P.T.A.?
The PTA, Parent Teacher Association, serves as a type of forum where parents, teachers, students, administrators, and other concerned citizens discuss ways to promote quality education, strive to expand the arts, encourage community involvement, and work for a healthy environment and safe neighborhoods.
The PTA is the oldest and largest volunteer association working on children and youth issues. In California alone, we have approximately one million PTA members.
Everyone is invited to join Will Rogers Elementary PTA: parents, educators, students and other citizens
active in their schools and communities.
The PTA encourages communication and cooperation between parent and school to ensure that children and youth receive the best possible physical, mental, social and spiritual education.
The PTA fosters leadership skills in both adults and students. PTA volunteers are leaders and advocates in their schools and communities.
The PTA is an nonpartisan, nonsectarian, and noncommercial organization that promotes the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship.
Will Rogers PTA Board 2009/2010
On Thursday, November 12, 2009 the new Will Rogers PTA executive board was elected. Their first order of business is to encourage you to attend the next Will Rogers PTA meeting on Wednesday, December 9th . The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Will Rogers Elementary. Everyone is invited and welcomed!
