Invitation to Learn About Everyday Mathematics
We all believe it is very important for parents to be involved with their children's learning. Our new math adoption, Everyday Mathematics, strongly agrees and provides opportunities for you to become more familiar with the program through their Family Letters and the following websites:
https://www.everydaymathonline.com/ (which you can get free family resources, but will need your child's access code in order to play the online games and read the online student reference materials)
As we explore how the program unfolds in the classroom, we have been giving on-going support for our teachers to drop by any Thursday from 2:30 - 5:00 pm to collaborate with colleagues as well as discuss specific questions about the program.
We want to extend an invitation to you to drop by on the THIRD THURSDAY of the month from 4-6pm for that same opportunity. There will not be a formal presentation, but a time to gather together and share questions. We meet at the Education Service Center at 255 W. Stanley Avenue upstairs in the Einstein Room. Dates to mark your calendar are:
February18 th March 18th
April 15th May 20th June 17th
Please call Sherry Rosenberg for further information or questions at 641-5000 x1034. Information from these discussions will be used to create a Parent Series that meets the needs of our community. Please continue to attend Family Math Nights at your child's school!
