Welcome to El Camino High School!

El Camino High School at Ventura College is a unique high school in the state of California. We are one of the only independent study high schools that is accredited, offers the University of California “A to G” college prep courses, and is a middle college academy. El Camino High School is a school of choice in the Ventura Unified School District. Many students attend El Camino High School at Ventura College on “inter-district” transfers, attending from all over Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles Counties.

Our belief is that every student is provided with a learning environment and educational delivery system that best suits his or her academic abilities, learning style, and personal interests. We provide a competency-based college prep high school program in an independent study delivery system. Students are treated as individuals and a unique plan is designed for every student. El Camino High School at Ventura College is a place where EVERY STUDENT CAN SOAR!
