Welcome to Art and Technology at DATA
De Anza Academy of Technology and the Arts
At DATA we are preparing our students to live and work in a global society.  In order
to better expose students to different cultures, we will be using our arts program to introduce
students to the elements of art, while exploring the arts around the world.  Using a variety of
art mediums, including traditional art methods and computer graphics, we will impart
knowledge, teach tolerance and prepare students to compete in the global marketplace.

In the technology lab, we attempt to introduce students to a variety of issues facing our
world through the green technology modules.  Some topics covered are  what is happening to
our oceans and our sea life and how we are polluting the earth with our garbage.  We also allow
them to become car designers, home designers and plant crops the "green" way.  They go on a
mission to the planet Mars and build and launch rockets, just to name a few.  Other technology
modules introduce students to a variety of occupations including carpentry, plumbing, engine
repair, radio broadcasting and robotics.

Join us this year as we celebrate art and technology through a variety of mediums, methods
and events.  Our web page will feature student work, the student newspaper, "The Navigator News"
and photos of projects and students at work.
