School Gardens: Schools gardens provide the opportunity for children to learn about nutrition, the growing seasons, and the environment. The Healthy Schools Project provides for the creation and operation of school gardens at each school site as collaborative effort and links the school cafeteria , gardens and classrooms with district staff, parents and others, such as UCCE Master Gardeners.
