BLUE HEART BEAT
Bystanders often directly fuel bullying situations by setting up or cheering on the aggressor and victim.  Even when bystanders serve only as onlookers, they indirectly support bullying by providing an audience and public acceptance for its legitimacy.  In a recent study, bystander peers were present in 88% of bullying episodes, but a bystander intervened in less than on-fifth of these cases.  Be an ALLY not a bystander.  Don’t accept bullying, teasing and unkind behavior here at Cabrillo!  (Counselors & Blue Heart Supporters)

You may bring your water bottles from home and fill them up.  (Ms. Noriega)

Riding skateboards on campus is not allowed at anytime.  This includes “just standing” on your board.  Skateboards will be confiscated and returned to parents if this rule is being broken. Principal Message
Dear Cabrillo Families,

Every year so many terrible disasters impact the lives of so many unfortunate people. From floods to hurricanes to earthquakes to wildfires to tragedies such as Sandy Hook, communities around the world struggle with life threatening situations.  Always aware of our responsibility in protecting your children in the event of an emergency, our staff annually reviews our own disaster procedures. I want to share some important information.

First, throughout the year we practice several different kinds of drills.
Second, we have several means of communication to be used during a disaster/emergency.
Third, all staff members have been assigned to an emergency disaster team.
Fourth, if we had a disaster and needed to evacuate the campus, we have three emergency sites depending upon the type of disaster.
We want to assure you that we have carefully organized and practiced emergency disaster procedures. The safety of the staff and students at Cabrillo is of utmost importance to us. We will always do our best to take care of your children.

Warm regard,
Peggy Kroener
Principal

Attitude
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.  Attitude, to me is more important than facts.  It is more important than the past, than education, than money than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.  It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.  It will make or break a company...a church...a home.  The remarkable think is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.  We cannot change the inevitable,  The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so with you...we are in charge or our attitudes."
Charles Swindoll
